We are getting into that holiday season and you probably know what that means. Our annual Jingle Bell Walk is coming up. It is an event that is sponsored by the KFLA Public Health Unit.


For those who are unaware about our school's annual walk, here are some details. The Jingle Bell Walk will be taking place in the afternoon on Friday, December 2nd. The classes will participate in our walk that afternoon around the track next to our school. Please note that this is an in-school event, meant for the staff and students of our school.

 

If you are able to, we ask that students and families bring in non-perishable food (food items which are the kind you find in packages, boxes, and cans that do not require refrigeration and will not spoil if left out) starting November 21st until December 6th. We will be accepting any and all types of non-perishable food items. The items most in demand include : canned meat/fish, jam, baby food formula and other baby products, as well as pasta and pasta sauce, cereal and 100% fruit juice. Please remember that all food items must be non-perishable food that won’t spoil. And, of course, if you are unable to to bring in these items it is completely fine, you are not obligated to.


For the collection of the donations, selected grade 8 students from the Jingle Bell Walk team will pick up any donations from one class to another. All donations will be given to the Partners in Mission Food Bank after our food drive ends. Thanks for considering donating to our food drive.
